Job summary

Sutton Place is seeking a reliable Custodian for the Winter 25/2027 season at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, residents, and staff.

You will work independently or with a team, delivering consistent cleanliness and attention to detail in a luxury setting. Responsibilities include cleaning common areas, restocking supplies, reporting issues, and complying with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial or cleaning preferred (training provided).
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standard.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift and perform repetitive tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
• Basic understanding of cleaning products and equipment (or willing to learn).
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Shifts include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common areas, hallways, washrooms, staff areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Perform routine cleaning: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waste removal.
• Replenish supplies such as paper products, soap, and sanitizers.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Assist with seasonal deep cleaning or special projects as required.
• Ensure all work areas are left clean, organized, and secure.

Position Summary

This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests, residents, and staff. The successful candidate will take pride in their work, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and be comfortable working independently as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Previous custodial, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred (training provided)

• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks


• Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct


• Basic understanding of cleaning products and equipment (or willingness to learn)


• Manual dexterity required to use various cleaning apparatus and supplies.


• Ability to lift to 30 pounds.


• Regular physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, crouching, and kneeling.


• Flexible hours. Shifts include mornings, evening , weekends and holidays depending on operational needs.
