- Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (e.g., facilitating access to community resources, language and skills training).
- Recruit newcomers and/or refugees displaced by conflicts or natural disasters (e.g., Ukraine, Afghanistan).
- Assist with foreign credential recognition.
- Offer mentorship programs pairing newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to foster a welcoming environment.
Support for Indigenous Workers
- Develop relationships with indigenous communities and organizations.
- Provide cultural competency and awareness training for all employees.
- Facilitate access to Elders for support and guidance.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities.
Support for Visible Minorities
- Implement hiring policies discouraging discrimination, such as anonymized applications.
- Offer mentorship programs for members of visible minorities.
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training.
