Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Sustainability Manager to lead the Trust's Green Plan and drive sustainability across Peterborough, Stamford & Rutland Hospital, Hinchingbrooke Hospital, and Community Estate.

The role requires providing expert knowledge on environmental sustainability, advancing Net Zero and decarbonisation, and travel between sites to uphold high standards of care and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Be the Trust-wide lead on environmental sustainability and provide expert knowledge on sustainability-related decisions.
• Drive the implementation of the Trust's Green Plan and progress toward Net Zero and decarbonisation.
• Coordinate sustainability across Peterborough Hospital, Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Stamford & Rutland Hospital, and Community Estate.
• Travel between sites to ensure sustainability standards are met across the Trust.

North West Anglia Foundation Trust are seeking to appoint a Sustainability Manager to implement our green plan and to transform sustainability across the three sites at

Peterborough (excluding Peterborough City Hospital), Stamford & Rutland Hospital andHinchingbrooke Hospital. The Trust has aspirations to become one of the most sustainable Trusts in the NHS and there is significant scope to improve our sustainability performance.

We are looking for an individual who, whilst adhering to our Trust Values and Behaviours, will drive transformational change in sustainability and Carbon emissions. You will have a passionate commitment to providing excellent, quality services in an acute healthcare environment, both as an individual and as a team player. You will possess a 'can do'

attitude and have the ability to get things done effectively, efficiently and right first time. You will need to be flexible in your approach and the job will entail travel between sites to ensure we are working to the required standards across the Trust. You must have a passion for

sustainability and the drive to make a difference.

The post holder must have a passion for sustainability and will be responsible for driving the implementation of the Trust's Green Plan. It is essential that the post-holder progresses the organisation toward Net Zero and decarbonisation. They will be responsible for sustainability at the following locations:

• Stamford & Rutland Hospital
• Community Estate
