Job summary

Allnorth is seeking experienced surveyors for project work across Canada. You will conduct a broad range of field surveys, including construction layout, topographic, volumetric, and legal surveys.

Responsibilities include setting up control points, staking as per drawings, data capture of pipe as built, volume calculations, and reporting on features impacted by construction. Requirements include a minimum of two years in construction surveying, pipeline survey experience, 3D scanning

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of construction surveying experience
• Pipeline survey experience
• 3D scanning experience
• Diploma in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying Technology, or equivalent field training
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is an asset
• Registration as a Professional Survey Technologist is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High level of dependability
• Willing to work in remote areas/camp positions
• Driver’s license required

Our Opportunity

Allnorth is currently seeking experienced surveyors for project work on a variety of projects across Canada. You will conduct a broad range of field surveys, including construction layout, topographic, volumetric, and legal. Responsibilities include:

• Setting up a network of control points to perform survey work on the entire length of the project
• Staking working widths, centreline, and extra workspaces as specified in drawings
• Data capturing of pipe as built, pipe tracking, depth of cover and ditch plugs
• Volume calculations
• Data reporting on features that may be removed or destroyed during construction, barriers, and bridges
• Summary reports on pipe tracking including installed, waste, and lost pipe, as well as tracking of each pipe joint
• 3D scanning, including modelling and data processing using Leica scanners

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of construction surveying experience is required
• Previous pipeline survey experience
• 3D scanning experience
• Diploma in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying Technology, or equivalent field training
• Experience using AutoCAD's Civil 3D is an asset
• Registration as a Professional Survey Technologist is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Technical competence and attention to detail
• A high level of dependability
• Willing to work for extended periods in remote areas and/or in a camp-based position
• A driver’s license is required for this position
