Our Ideal Candidate

This opportunity is ideal for students currently enrolled in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related programs who are interested in gaining hands‑on experience in both field and office environments. You are curious, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn from experienced survey professionals. Success in this role means supporting accurate data collection, producing quality drawings, and contributing to safe and efficient project delivery.

A Day in the Life

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist survey crews with field data collection, layout, and site measurements
  • Support the use of survey equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS, and data collectors
  • Assist with drafting and data processing using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software
  • Prepare and organize survey data, field notes, and drawings
  • Support office‑based tasks related to surveying and geomatics projects
  • Work collaboratively with surveyors, engineers, and project teams
  • Follow safety procedures and site‑specific requirements at all times
  • Learn industry best practices while contributing to real‑world projects
What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • Currently enrolled in a Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related program
  • Interest in surveying, geomatics, and drafting work
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar drafting software is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
  • Willingness to work in field environments when required
