Job summary

Allnorth is seeking a Geomatics Technician to support survey and engineering projects by processing data, performing calculations, and assisting with deliverables.

You will draft plans, perform calculations for foundations and roadworks, generate surfaces, and interpret survey data with Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D, while ensuring quality and timely reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant survey/geomatics experience.
• Experience with Trimble Business Centre (TBC).
• Proficiency in Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of construction survey practices.

Responsibilities

• Draft survey plans and perform calculations using Civil 3D.
• Perform survey calculations for foundations, roadworks, and grading projects, including alignment, profile, and corridor analysis to support construction layout and execution.
• Generate surfaces and volume calculations.
• Process and interpret different type of survey data using Trimble Business Center.
• Perform quality control checks on field returns.
• Assist field crews and prepare reports (stakeout, as-builts).
• Support UAV / LiDAR data processing as needed.
• Support engineering layout and construction surveys.

A Day in the Life
