Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Calculator within its Surveying Services team to prepare layout data from digital documents for large-scale construction projects. You will participate in bids to establish construction volumes and collaborate with engineers and clients to ensure quality and deadlines.

Responsibilities include reading plans, performing volume calculations, structuring data for 3D guidance, and creating layout drawings in compliance with regulatory standards.

As a Calculator within Pomerleau's Surveying Services team, you will be responsible for preparing survey layout data from digital documents. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you'll have the opportunity to participate in the bidding process to establish construction volumes.

What you will do

• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and field surveys to ensure data consistency.
• Perform volume calculations for work progress tracking, payments, and progress reports.
• Process and structure data for 3D machine guidance and positioning systems.
• Prepare layout drawings and technical documents in accordance with regulatory standards.

This role could be for you if you have

• Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Stong teamwork skills.
• Effective communication abilities with third parties (other teams or stakeholders at Pomerleau and/or the client).
• Strong adaptability in challenging and changing situations, and the ability to work under pressure.
