Job summary

Pomerleau in Oromocto, New Brunswick is seeking a Surveying Technician to work on large-scale construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for land surveying, setting up benchmarks, and ensuring compliance with plans. You'll collaborate with various trades and participate in a supportive work environment.

The ideal candidate will have a DEP, AEC or Certificate in surveying or civil engineering, along with 1 to 2 years' experience and proficiency in surveying tools. The position also offers a hybrid work model and robust benefits, including RRSP matching and vacation from day one.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years' experience on a civil construction site.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• An ASP Construction & WHMIS 2015 card.

As a Surveying Technician on Pomerleau's Civil Engineering & Infrastructure team, you'll work closely with all workers to ensure coordination of the work. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to more than $1 billion - you'll have the opportunity to accompany and support the team member and participate in the completion of work according to specifications.

What You Will Do

• Land surveying: Use surveying instruments to measure and record topographic data.
• Set up points and benchmarks: Place benchmarks on site to guide construction work (underground services, curbs, sidewalks, paving, etc.).
• Communicate information: Ensure that all project participants have the information they need to make progress.
• Monitoring and control: Supervise and inspect work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Work as part of a team, maintain a pleasant and trusting working environment, communicate effectively with colleagues and other trades on site.
• Perform all other related tasks associated with operations.

This Role Is Made For You If You Have
