Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard in Barrie, Ontario. The role focuses on monitoring security systems, identifying threats, and reporting incidents from a night-shift schedule (Tuesdays–Saturdays, 00:00–08:00). Uniform is provided, with full-time opportunities and GardaWorld Academy funded education.

You will patrol and control access, document events, and collaborate with law enforcement when needed. A valid license, first aid, and Canada work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification required.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalat in environments such as security operation centres , call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Schedule: Tuesdays to Saturdays (00:00 - 08:00)

Location: L4M 0C4
