Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard for our data centre operations in Barrie, Ontario. This full-time role includes a continental rotation with day and night shifts (07:00-19:00 / 19:00-07:00).

You will monitor security systems, report incidents, and patrol premises to deter threats. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada, hold a valid security license, and have first aid certification.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.

• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escape in environments such as security operation centres , call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Schedule: Full-time, Continental rotation - 2 weeks of day shifts followed by 2 weeks of night shifts (07:00 - 19:00 / 19:00 - 07:00)

Location: L4N 0M4
