Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard in Barrington, Nova Scotia. In a high-security environment, you will assess situations, monitor activities, and document observations with accuracy. Experience in law enforcement or related fields is an asset, and the role requires professionalism and the ability to work under pressure.

Starting pay is $25 per hour with probation increases and benefits. GardaWorld Campus offers ongoing training, and a uniform is provided at no cost.

Qualifications

• Able to obtain and maintain Federal Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance.
• Clean criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Experience in law enforcement, policing, corrections, or care for vulnerable persons is an asset.
• Professionalism, discipline, integrity, and the ability to perform under pressure.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous surveillance of persons in a controlled environment.
• Perform wellness checks at 15 minute intervals, in accordance with security standards and procedures.
• Identify and report risk situations or medical concerns.
• Respond professionally, calmly, and in compliance during sensitive situations.
• Accurately complete official documentation and observation reports.

Experience or education in law enforcement, policing, corrections, persons with mental health crisis or other specialized environments is a strong asset. A sharp eye for detail, ability to effectively document observations, respect for security protocols, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
