Xpera Risk Mitigation & Investigation in Canada seeks a Private Investigator, Surveillance, reporting to an Investigations Manager to conduct thorough covert surveillance by vehicle or on foot, ensuring quality service to clients. You bring post-secondary education and a Private Investigator License, plus a valid driver’s license and 2 years of field surveillance experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of field surveillance investigative experience.
• Experience in a client-focused environment.
• Valid Private Investigator License.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of Canadian court system, criminal and civil code, and privacy legislation is an asset.
• Understanding of threat risk assessments and analytics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet timelines.

Responsibilities

• Offer timely and quality best-in-class experience and services to clients and customers.
• Respond to client requests with a quick, flexible approach aligned with policies and procedures.
• Conduct investigations in a manner aligned with client intent and guidance from management.
• Perform assignments in proper investigative sequence: pre-operation planning, assessment, evidence collection, reporting.
• Monitor assignment timelines and budgets to ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Produce accurate notes and reports per protocol.
• Obtain professional quality video and photographic documentation.
• Gather information legally, ethically, and confidentially.
• Attend court or legal proceedings as required.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment in good working order.
