Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services’ Carbonear General Hospital seeks a Nurse Practitioner to support the Surgical Services Program. The NP provides health assessments, diagnoses, and management of acute/chronic illnesses with a focus on pre- and post-operative care for general surgery patients.

Work is in a team environment with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to facilitate early discharges and continuity of care.

Formación

• Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current and continuing registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Nurses (NLCN) as a Nurse Practitioner (Family/All Ages or Adult).
• Minimum five years clinical experience within the last seven years in surgical services.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certification.

Responsabilidades

• Provide autonomous health assessments and diagnosis of diseases, disorders, injuries, and conditions.
• Pre- and post-operative care for General Surgery patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, social work, physiotherapy, and other team members.
