Job summary

Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in landing gear and braking systems, is seeking a plating technician at the Mirabel plant. The role involves electrodeposition plating operations, preparing parts with anodes and masks, and ensuring high-strength parts meet specifications.

The position offers an evening shift (2:20 PM–12:20 AM) with benefits, a structured training program, and opportunities to advance in a modern facility using state‑of‑the‑art equipment.

Qualifications

Diploma of Vocational Studies (D.E.P) in surface treatment, aeronautical mechanical assembly, structural assembly, welding-assembly, or equivalent experience.
Experience in manual work or in the manufacturing field.
Knowledge of reading plans is an asset.

Responsibilities

Control the conditions of high mechanical strength parts at all stages of the process.
Prepare and assemble parts with anodes and masks.
Perform electrolytic deposits (cadmium, chrome, or nickel plating).
Apply and control plating parameters on electronic interfaces.
Use digital and analog measuring instruments.
Participate in the certification of plating baths.
Inspect parts.

The job involves performing chrome, zinc-nickel, and nickel plating operations through electrodeposition using anodes, shapes, anode cages, tanks, chemical solutions, and other techniques.

Evening shift: Monday to Thursday from 2:20 PM to 12:20 AM

Note: Depending on the collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (day, night, or weekend)

The salary for this position starts between $31.18 and $45.12 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progression in acquiring job-related skills, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $48.97.
$1.30/hr bonus
