Job summary

Aon is seeking a Surety Broker to join its Construction & Infrastructure team in Canada, helping clients navigate complex bonding requirements and support major construction projects. The role begins in-office, then transitions to a hybrid schedule with at least three days per week in the office. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Experience in surety and construction industry practices is an asset.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and with clients.
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review bids and prepare sunshine letters, surety bonds and invoice preparation
• Lead by example and assist colleagues in delivering DAU to clients and prospects
• Delivering continuous excellence in servicing an existing book
• Collaborate with fellow Leaders within the Edmonton and Calgary branches to deliver the best of Aon to clients and prospects in need of construction advisory service and solutions
• Identifying specific client and prospect needs and developing innovative and cost effective solutions
• Ensure all procedures, internal client files and correspondence are in compliance with Aon audit standards
• Reviewing and revise Surety facilities
• Coordinating / providing oversight to the account team and establish client service plans that prioritize the account activities and profitability in a value-based approach for the scope of services required
• Participating in industry sponsored events and improve opportunities to become involved with various industry committees

In this client-focused role, you'll manage surety accounts, identify growth opportunities, and deliver trusted advice and innovative solutions that help businesses thrive.

This position starts in-office to support onboarding and team integration, then transitions to a hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
