Community Living North Halton in Acton, Ontario, seeks a dedicated professional to support individuals in our community-based programs. Initial assignment is Eastern, with wage ranges provided for regular and sleep shifts.

Must hold a Community College Diploma in Social Services or a related university degree, and be committed to person-centered planning and community involvement. Applicants should have a valid Ontario driver’s license, be comfortable with personal care, and able to complete

• Diploma in Social Services or university degree in social sciences (or equivalent).
• Commitment to Community Living and to person-centered planning.
• Experience and flexibility across the association.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger day supports team.
• Comfortable with personal care and driving wheelchair accessible vehicles.

WAGE RANGE: Reg. $25.52– $26.21, Sleep $21.07- $21.55

REQUIREMENTS

• Community College Diploma in Social Services or University Degree in Social Sciences. Related experience preferred. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated Commitment to Community Living
• Demonstrated Commitment to and experience in, Person Centered Planning
• Experience & flexibility in different areas across the Association
• Commitment in involving people to become more involved in their communities
• Demonstrated ability to work independently
• Demonstrated experience through Core Competencies
• Demonstrated ability to work within a larger day supports team
• Comfortable with personal care
• Ability to complete Q-Straint process and drive wheelchair accessible vehicles
• This requires the successful candidate to have a valid Ontario Driver’s License. The successful candidate would have to provide proof that s/he has a valid driver’s license upon being hired.
