Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior business analyst for broad reconciliation transformation across financial services. You will drive the design of GL-to-source processes and implement best practices with SmartStream TLM, Datastage, Python, and Tableau across multiple units.

You will lead change management, requirements elicitation, and stakeholder alignment in a fast-paced environment, coordinating cross-functional teams including operations and service partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of business analysis delivering large-scale initiatives.
• 3+ years leading end-to-end financial services transformation initiatives.
• Deep understanding of GL matching, reconciliation concepts and multi-way reconciliation.
• Experience in domestic/international banking or insurance environments.

Job description

• Lead transformational business initiatives across assigned business units and design future-state reconciliation solutions
• Drive organizational change management with cross-functional teams, business units, operations teams and global process service partners
• Establish enterprise reconciliation centers of excellence and best practices
• Conduct advanced business analysis and requirements elicitation
• Lead strategic stakeholder alignment and organizational transformation
• Design and optimize GL-to-source, sub-ledger, intragroup, cash, asset and n-way reconciliation processes
• Optimize SmartStream TLM configurations and implement reconciliation best practices
• Develop EPICs, user stories, process flows, UAT plans, cut-over strategies and RTB hand-over documentation
• Architect Financial Information Business Rules and static data configurations for onboarding and off-boarding
• Provide technical leadership in data transformation, ETL optimization and advanced reporting solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification
• 6+ years of business analysis experience delivering large-scale initiatives
• 3+ years leading end-to-end financial services transformation initiatives
• Deep understanding of GL matching, exception management, cash reconciliation, balance reconciliation, suspense accounts, sub-ledger reconciliation and multi-way reconciliation
• Experience in domestic banking, international banking or insurance environments
• Expertise in requirements elicitation and management, enterprise analysis, requirements analysis, solution assessment and validation
• Ability to translate financial services requirements into technical solutions
• Source-to-target data mapping and current-state versus future-state gap analysis proficiency
• Enterprise-level delivery experience across CTB, RTB and Operations teams
• Cross-functional leadership, stakeholder engagement and change management capabilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal support
• Flexibility for occasional weekend availability during go-lives and production cutovers
• SmartStream TLM Platform proficiency
• Knowledge of GL attestation policies, reconciliation workflows and PEGA Attestation Workflow
• Understanding of trade lifecycle management and SDLC principles
• Experience with Datastage, Monarch, Apache Airflow or Python
• Tableau proficiency
• UAT testing and production release support experience
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
