DCDSB invites qualified Educational Assistants (EA) to apply for our Casual/Supply EA employment opportunities.

Qualifications:

Applicants require the following qualifications:

1. Two (2) or three (3) year diploma from a recognized Community College in an area related to Special Education or a Bachelor of Arts degree.
2. Ability to work with all children including a wide variety of students with special needs.
3. Support the Gospel values and philosophy of Inclusion.
4. Three (3) to Six (6) months previous related experience and/or job placement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred but not required qualifications include:

1. UMAB and/or CPI and/or NVCI qualification.
2. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
3. Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) Training.
4. Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Training.
5. Assistive Technology Software.
6. Augmentative Communication.
7. Safe Back Care or Lifting Ambulation.
