DCDSB invites qualified Educational Assistants (EAs) to apply for our casual/supply employment opportunities.

Qualifications Required

• Two or three-year diploma from a recognized Community College in a field related to Special Education or a Bachelor of Arts degree.
• Ability to work with all children, including students with special needs.
• Support for Gospel values and the philosophy of inclusion.
• Three to six months of related experience or job placement.

Preferred but Not Required Qualifications

• UMAB and/or CPI and/or NVCI certification.
• Training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Behavior Management Systems (BMS) training.
• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) training.
• Experience with assistive technology software.
• Knowledge of augmentative communication.
• Safe Back Care or Lifting and Ambulation training.
