Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval, QC, Canada, is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for New Product Introduction. The role focuses on coordinating supplier strategies for aircraft change management, procuring related commodities, and acting as a project manager to ensure procurement activities stay on plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, project management or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of experience in aerospace industry and/or manufacturing environment and/or program management, in a commercial role.
• Experience in change management.
• Technical knowledge or experience in managing complex products.
• Strong leadership & analytical skills.
• Detail oriented, focused and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills (French & English).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute supplier strategies related to aircraft change management.
• Be responsible for all procurement related activities for specific commodities related to change management.
• Act as a project manager to ensure all procurement related activities are executed as per plan.
• Actively participate and represent Procurement within the various Integrated Work Teams (IWT).
• Track supplier changes through the management process up to implementation.
• Develop negotiation strategies and lead contractual negotiations with external suppliers resulting from product changes.
• Ensure correct project tracking and visibility are provided by suppliers for Procurement and other functions.
• Support procurement commodity teams in establishing sourcing strategies and drafting commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Coordinate Procurement Agents activities with master plans and detailed plans.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Coordinate and execute Supplier’s strategies related to aircraft change management.

• Support, where applicable, the Procurement commodity teams in establishing sourcing strategies and draft commercial agreements with the suppliers.
• Coordinate the Procurement Agents activities in relation to the balanced scorecard objectives, the master plans and the detailed plans.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, project management or equivalent.
• You have seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in the aerospace industry and/or manufacturing environment and/or program management, in a commercial role, an asset.
• You have experience in change management.
• You have technical knowledge or experience in managing complex products.
• You have strong leadership & analytical skills.
• You are detailed oriented, focused and committed to meeting deadlines.
• You have good communication skills (French & English).
