One Degree Organic Foods in Mission, BC is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to source ingredients and purchase for our plant-powered products. You will drive procurement activities in a busy food production environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in sourcing, strong negotiation, and experience with lean manufacturing, collaborating with a supportive team focused on healthier communities.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of sourcing and purchasing experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience in a fast-paced food industry preferred.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Experience with Great Plains, Word, Outlook, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Champion procurement activities in a busy food production environment.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, manage material requirements and associated logistics.
• Source food ingredients and packaging ensuring items purchased follow established policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot pricing, delays, deliveries, quality and inventory with internal and external stakeholders.
• Negotiate and track contracts with suppliers providing analytical data and reports to support.
• May on occasion work at various times including weekends, as the job requires.
• Ability to travel as needed to visit suppliers and attend industry events.

POSITION: Supply Chain Specialist REPORTS TO: Supply Chain Manager

We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join our Supply Chain team! Our Supply Chain Specialist will be sourcing and purchasing ingredients for our delicious, plant-powerful products.

• You have knowledge of international trade and experience working with customs broker.
• You have post-secondary education in supply chain management.
