Job summary

Honda of Canada Mfg. in Alliston, Ontario, seeks a Delivery Management Associate to support supplier management and ensure uninterrupted supply of OEM parts and materials to the factory.

The role involves tracking deliveries, expediting shipments, investigating supply concerns, and driving continuous improvement in supply chain operations. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in supply chain, strong data analysis skills, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary graduate or relevant purchasing related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of equivalent experience in Supply Chain.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Willingness to travel internationally or in North America with Canadian passport or B1 visa.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor abnormal supply chain conditions and escalate KPI issues.
  • Manage OEM supplier deliveries and daily parts orders to OEM supply base.
  • Track and expedite mass production parts and monitor milestones.
  • Investigate supply/delivery concerns and issue TRs to OEM suppliers.

Job description

Delivery Management Associate – Supply Chain

We are seeking a detail-oriented Delivery Management Associate to support supplier management and help ensure the uninterrupted supply of quality OEM parts and materials to the factory.

In this role, the associate will monitor daily supply chain deliveries, track expedited shipments, investigate part supply concerns, and identify potential risks within the supplier base. The position also supports continuous improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening overall supply chain operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, able to manage multiple priorities, comfortable working under pressure when needed, and confident summarizing data and escalating concerns appropriately.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, manage and control abnormal supply chain conditions and elevate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) abnormalities and concerns
  • Daily Management of OEM Supplier deliveries to HCM
  • Daily parts order release to OEM supply base (GPCS)
  • Daily monitoring of the supply chain deliveries
  • Expedite recovery of Mass Production parts and tracking of expedite milestone
  • Investigate part supply & delivery concerns. Issuance of Trouble Reports to OEM suppliers & evaluation of supplier’s countermeasures
  • Identify cost-down improvements, innovate and strengthen Supplier characteristics
  • Create and present reports on supply chains QCDMS status
  • Communicate & network with N.A Sites on supply chain activities and concerns
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary graduate or relevant purchasing related experience
  • Minimum 2 years of equivalent experience in Supply Chain
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Excel; Use advanced functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), manage and format data
  • Willing and able to travel internationally or in North America by possessing a Canadian passport or B1 Visa
  • Must have a valid G/G2 Driver's License
  • Willing and able to work weekends and/or overtime sometimes on short notice
  • Willing and able to work HCM shutdown periods
  • Willing and able to support occasional 2nd and/or 3rd shifts
Good to have:
  • Experience utilizing Electronic ordering systems (ex., Electronic Data Interchange (EDI))
  • Experience with Shipping Deviation System, NARS, EDCIS, Smartsheet, Outlook
  • Experience working in a fast paced, results oriented environment
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations
  • Knowledge of part manufacturing processes and capacity analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and evaluate results, strong mathematical aptitude
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Proven ability to investigate problems, develop solutions, and obtain results
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects/assignments requiring identification of objectives, resources and/or approaches
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to communicate with suppliers and stakeholders regarding delivery statuses and expedites
  • Excellent organizational skills – ability to create schedules and meet milestones
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting demands and large impact items to production
