At Armtec, we're looking for a Procurement & Supply Chain Coordinator to join us for an 18-month maternity leave replacement contract.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations across Canada by coordinating purchasing activities, managing inventory, and ensuring our production teams have the materials they need to succeed.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to make a direct impact on the efficiency of our national operations.

  • Create, manage, and reconcile purchase orders, including expediting deliveries and resolving discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to ensure material availability while optimizing stock levels.
  • Assist with forecasting, inventory transfers, shipment tracking, and inventory planning across multiple locations.
  • Obtain supplier quotations and provide pricing, lead times, and freight costs to support estimating and customer service teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Monitor supply chain risks, including supplier capacity, transportation delays, and market conditions, while proactively identifying solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Assist with training and other departmental initiatives as required.
What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is organized, analytical, and enjoys collaborating with others to solve problems.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Inventory Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Skills & Experience

You will be successful in this role if you:

  • Have a strong understanding of purchasing, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Think analytically and enjoy identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Take initiative and work well independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Have strong attention to detail and are committed to accuracy.
  • Enjoy providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Why Join Armtec?
