Job description

Supply Chain Coordinator

The Supply Chain Coordinator (SCC) is the first line of regular contact between customers and Oerlikon Metco (Canada) Inc. This role has a significant impact on the sales team’s success in completing the sales transactions that allow us to issue invoices for revenues as well as ensuring we have satisfied customers. We are seeking a motivated and dependable individual for this cross functional position (Sales, Logistics and Purchasing activities).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sales/CSR
    • Preparing Quotations and Sales Orders upon customer request;
    • Issue customer invoices,
    • Liaison between customers, account managers and internal departments;
    • Enter customer complaints, follow up with corrective actions;
    • Manage consignment inventories,
    • Participate in regular sales reporting, planning and forecasting,
  • Purchasing/Logistics
    • Generating delivery notes, scheduling freight carriers, calculating freight charges as per contract terms,
    • Processing purchase orders for re-stocking product being distributed

Education / Experience:

A diploma with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service environment or an equivalent combintation of education and experience.

Training

  • SAP training in MM/PP
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Knowledge of TDG, IATA, WHMIS, Import/Export controls and other applicable regulations
  • Experience and interest in the SCMP (Supply Chain Management) and/or CITT (Transportation) professions.

Skills and Abilities

  • Team oriented - Ability to involve and work with other departments / personnel to resolve product / customer / transportation issues as quickly as possible.
  • Service oriented - Ability to provide quick and timely assistance as necessary to a customer base.
  • Sales oriented - Good knowledge of Oerlikon Metco (Canada) Inc's products and services to be able to support customer requests and new inquiries.
  • Detailed orientated - Ability to pay close attention to detail - meticulous.
  • Communication skills - Ability to communicate both verbally and written within the corporation and with customers in a way that expresses clarity, urgency, and empathy when necessary.
  • Technical skills - Proficient in the use of SAP and Microsoft Windows (Outlook, Word, Excel).
