Job Description
Supply Chain Analyst for Supplier Due Diligence and Management will be responsible for the onboarding of new Suppliers in addition to the on-going maintenance and metric requirements. You will actively work with the supplier and key internal stakeholders which may include; Finance, Legal, Export Compliance, Engineering, Programs and the Supply Chain Team.
The Analyst will work independently to manage the Supplier Due Diligence program while ensuring all requirements are fulfilled and maintained. They will assess risk and make recommendations to the key stakeholders to mitigate and or provide alternate solutions. This role will be responsible for key metrics and making recommendations in support of managing the supplier database. The Analyst will have a significant input into continuous improvement activities. Day to day duties can be found below:
- Oversight execution and control of the GDMS-C Approved Supplier List including supplier spend, performance management, and supplier risk management analysis.
- Supplier Due Diligence includes the review and assessment of the following elements;
- Execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Financial Review
- Visual Compliance
- Export control status and requirements
- Supplier Quality Capabilities
- Supplier Risk Assessment
- Counterfeit assessments
- Conflict Minerals
- Small, Medium Enterprise identification
- Work closely with key functional areas to identify and mitigate risk
- Support functional areas by providing solutions and recommendations on the mitigation approach
- Database maintenance – review and make recommendations to remove Suppliers due to duplication, volume of spend, change in market, new corporate requirements, etc.
- Ensure Supplier Approval status is accurate and correctly reflects known risk
- Works closely with Supplier Quality Engineering to set proprieties and make recommendations.
- Develop strategies to support KPI improvements and drive implementation
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- Analytical thinker
- Understanding of financial performance indicators
- Familiarity with Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Champion of new ideas and calculated risk-taking
- Demonstrated abilities to coordinate process improvement
- Apply best industry practice
- Practice a strict code of personal and business ethics
- Facilitates problem-solving; resolves conflicts
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Address issues in a timely fashion with adherence to deadlines
- Applies experience in making decisions and judgements
- Responsible for continuous improvement; anticipates changing customer needs and; demonstrates vision in advancing tools
It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada.
