Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking a Supply Base Management Specialist within the Vertical Lift Sustainment Supply Chain function, reporting to the Procurement Manager. The position will be based out of Ottawa, Canada office.
The role requires a strong understanding of the integration across multiple functions including Contracts, Estimating and Pricing, and Supply Chain. In this role, you will have a deep working understanding of internal proposal requirements, internal supply chain processes, and the external supply Chain.
You will apply project management tactics and problem-solving skills with a focus on the stabilization and health of supply chain process. This opportunity requires strong leadership attributes with the ability to clearly communicate to leadership across Multiple Functions.
Position Responsibilities:
- Facilitates supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.
- Develops and participates in the implementation of supply base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies.
- Analyzes and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance data to identify risks, issues and opportunities.
- Develops mitigation plans.
- Identifies and participates in supplier and business improvement activities.
- Provides outcomes for potential integration into contracting strategies.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
- 3+ years of experience working in a multi-functional team environment.
- 3+ years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
- Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
- Experience working in operations and/or materials management
- 3+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
