Job summary

The City of Welland is seeking a motivated Supervisor - Water/Wastewater to lead the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of our municipal water distribution and wastewater collection systems.

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Public Works, this role provides leadership and technical oversight to operations staff to ensure safe, efficient infrastructure that adheres to all applicable legislation and policies, while supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in water/wastewater operations.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards.
• Ability to oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the City’s water distribution and wastewater collection systems.

About the position:

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Public Works, the Supervisor - Water/Wastewater is responisbe for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and perforamcen of the City's municipal water distribution and wastewater collection systems. The position provides leadership, supervision, and technical oversight to operational staff, ensuring that water and wastewater infrastructure is operated safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all applicable legislation, regulations, standards, and municipal policies.
