Job summary

Loblaw is seeking a logistics coordinator to help Canadians Live Life Well by managing daily driver assignments and load consolidation. The role focuses on coordinating shifts, reviewing loads and ensuring timely completion of deliveries.

You will assign drivers via the Driver App, communicate with the team, and maintain quality service in a fast-paced transportation environment.

• Organize and consolidate retail and non-retail loads.
• Assign drivers via driver app and provide updates to the next shift.
• Answer incoming calls as needed.
• Build and lead diverse teams that foster inclusiveness.

Shift: Monday to Friday 10:00-18:00

What you'll do:

• Obtain update from prior shift (including DP times, load types, non-retail load update, other critical information)
• Review operational +/-, identify labour required by load time availability
• Review emails, confirm all loads are printed and drivers are assigned a match (reconcile), ensure loads are being completed
• Sort time sheets by driver Hours of Service (HOS) availability (fresh or return)
• Organize retail loads, non-retail loads and consolidate
• Select drivers based on operational needs and assign suitable route
• Assign drivers via driver app (see Driver App process for details)
• Provide update to following shift upon their arrival (including DP times, load types, non-retail load update, other critical information)
• Answer incoming calls as needed
• Building and leading diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging

What you'll need:

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various individuals, from upper management to drivers
• Ability to work in multiple systems and applications, with a quick ability to learn
• Teammate, who is willing to assist others when needed

• Prior experience in a transportation environment is preferred
