Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Box Office Manager, the incumbent in this position is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Hard Rock Live Box Office while delivering a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)
- Supervise the daily operations of the Hard Rock Live Box Office.
- Assist in building concerts and other events in the Ticketmaster system.
- Assist in creating promotions that will boost Box Office revenue.
- Manage reconciliation of sales/deposits and prepare corresponding reconciliation reports.
- Process internal and external ticket orders.
- Coordinate ticket printing for Casino Marketing Player Development, advertising, and promotional tickets.
- Communicate ticketing information regularly and assist other departments with the same.
- Resolve customer service issues as necessary.
- Maintain accurate Box Office accounting records and archives.
- Develop department staff knowledge and skills through education, training, coaching, corrective counseling, etc.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to best manage labor costs while maintaining outstanding guest service.
- Monitor the performance of department direct reports and team members.
- Ensure only the most qualified candidates are selected for open positions.
- Monitor and order office and ticketing supplies for the department.
- Supervise daily ticket sales and will call operations.
- Responsible for submitting staff time and attendance reports.
- Coordinate with different property departments on behalf of Box Office or Live.
- Assist with department administration such as event pro formas, contracts, billing, and general business administration as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required and 2-3 years Box Office supervisory experience, preferably in the entertainment field.
- Ticketmaster Host, TM1, & Presence experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Must be able to create, manipulate and update Excel spreadsheets. Experience in training and guest relations is essential.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk distances.
- The employee must frequently lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
