Sodexo in Burnaby, BC is hiring a Support Services Supervisor to lead Food Service, Laundry and Housekeeping operations. The role requires weekend work (Thu–Mon) and direct reporting to the General Manager to drive client satisfaction and profitable service delivery.

You will oversee contract management, people leadership, and compliance, with responsibilities spanning client relationships, HR lifecycle, and safety culture.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Healthcare Support Service/Hospitality management experience in a multi-service operation.
• Full-time salaried role with weekends included (Thu - Mon).
• Strong Operational and food cost experience.
• Educational background in Hospitality Management or Business Administration would be nice to have.
• CSNM Certification is mandatory.
• Proven leadership and line management skills and the ability to build, lead and motivate a team.
• Able to work on own initiative, make effective decisions and as part of a team.
• Experience of managing a budget and interpreting financial and commercial information.
• Good literacy and numeracy with sound financial acumen.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in fluctuating workloads.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Competent IT skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage diverse teams and build positive union relationships.
• Oversee HR lifecycle activities (onboarding, training, performance management, etc.).
• Organize and monitor employee daily activities.

Salary: $54,000.00 - $64,000.00

Job Description

In your new role as our Support Services Supervisor, you will support the General Manager of the team leading the daily activities of Food Service, Laundry and Housekeeping.

Client Relationships & Contract Management

• Provide local leadership and strategic direction to build client relationships and new business opportunities to enhance profitability
• Develop a business strategy in line with current and emerging client needs
• Build long-term relationships with client that add value and are based on mutual trust and partnership model
• Ensure contract delivery including commercial and legal terms and conditions of the contract and deliver to the SLA(s) and standards required
• Carry out regular contract performance revisions and internal compliance audits and checks to support the delivery of Goal Zero for the account and Sodexo compliance

People

• Lead by example; inspire your employees to follow your own actions
• Strong employee relations through the ability to manage diverse teams
• Ability to build positive union relationships
• Active participant in HR life cycle (onboarding, training, performance management, etc.)
• Organization, planning and monitoring of employee daily activities
