Position Summary:
Supervise the daily operations of the branch, including driving profitable sales growth, customer service, reporting, inventory control, and performance management.

People Leadership - Owns Their Talent:
- Supervise and manage the team, including recruiting, training, motivating, and conducting performance reviews.
- Collaborate with the ISSR team on customer quotes, contracts, and pricing strategies.
- Monitor team productivity and motivate team members to achieve company goals.
Market/Business Leadership:
- Understand market dynamics, customer opportunities, and competition.
- Build and maintain strong community relationships.
Sales and Service Leadership:
- Address customer concerns related to pricing, procurement, delivery, and promote products through Private Brands, NTS, and eCommerce channels.
- Maintain comprehensive product knowledge.
- Support the sales team with upselling, service, pricing, delivery, and inventory inquiries.
- Promote company products and services, providing substitutions when necessary.
Operations Leadership:
- Contribute to the annual operating plan focusing on profitable sales, margins, expenses, and earnings.
- Assist in leading the 5S process for branch organization and efficiency.
- Prepare reports as needed and communicate management updates through Daily Service Meetings.
- Ensure compliance with WHMIS, TDG Act, WSIB, and other legislation.
- Maintain adherence to provincial regulations and Grainger operating practices.
Education/Experience (You Have):
- Knowledge of industrial and/or safety products (preferred).
- Proven experience in coaching, team building, recruitment, training, and development, with a hands-on management style.
- Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in computer skills and technology aptitude.
- Understanding of local market and customer needs (asset).
- Post-secondary education in Business or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years in a similar role with consistent performance.
- Demonstrated alignment with Grainger Principles and positive engagement scores (>75%).
- Knowledge of P&L, inventory management, and leadership (preferred for role progression).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Availability to visit customer sites; compliance with customer screening policies may be required.
