Job summary

Cascade Aerospace Inc. is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Supervisor to ensure CAR, TAM, ISO-AS and Cascade policy compliance, including audits of facilities, contractors and suppliers. The role requires a controlled goods clearance and is open to Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.

Key duties include leading root cause analyses, liaising with customers and internal teams, developing audit checklists, and maintaining the HQMS database. Relocation is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • AME M2 license or approved equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years as licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or foreign/military equivalent.
  • 2+ years auditing maintenance and manufacturing; ISO9001/AS9110/AS9100 knowledge.
  • Knowledge of CARS, TAM, SMS and Transport Canada/Defence regs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining Cascade Aerospace policy compliance and audits.
  • Audit facilities, outside contractors and suppliers for conformance.
  • Provide root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Liaise with internal/external customers and Stores personnel.
  • Interpret aviation regs and Cascade policies for staff.
  • Develop and maintain audit checklists to current standards.
  • Conduct daily facility walks and address issues with management.
  • Ensure workplace conduct aligns with HR policies.
  • Maintain HQMS database and related records.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job Description

Cascade is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Supervisor. The Quality Assurance Supervisor ensures Cascade Aerospace's compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR's), DND Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM), International Standards Organization – Aerospace Standards (ISO-AS), Cascade policy and procedures, and customer requirements. This position is also responsible for auditing those stated policies and procedures, auditing the facilities, outside contractors, and suppliers.

This position will require immediate Controlled Goods security clearance, therefore only Canadian Citizens and or Permanent Residents will be considered at this time.

Major Responsibilities & Duties
  • 1) Strive to consistently act in a manner in which reflects Cascade Aerospace's culture and values.
  • 2) Ensure Cascade Aerospace's compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR's), Canada DND Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM), other civil and military aviation regulations and to the company's manuals, with respect to the auditing of the facilities, outside contractors and suppliers.
  • 3) Provide guidance with root cause analysis and corrective action planning for QMS activities.
  • 4) Liaise with internal and external Customers.
  • 5) Liaise with Cascade Aerospace's Stores Receiving and Purchasing Personnel regarding certification issues, approved vendors and non-conforming products.
  • 6) Interpret Canadian Aviation Regulations requirements and Cascade Aerospace policies and procedures for company personnel to maintain compliance.
  • 7) Develops and maintains audit checklists to ensure that audits are conducted to current standards.
  • 8) Perform a daily walk around of the facilities and frequently visit the dock areas to discuss issues brought forward by management and/or personnel.
  • 9) Be familiar with and ensure that all workplace conduct is in accordance with Cascade Aerospace's Human Resource policies and procedures.
  • 10) Maintain and monitor the HQMS Data base.
  • 11) Perform other duties as required.

Experience

Education: Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

License / Designations: AME "M2" License or approved equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years as a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer; or foreign or military equivalent
  • 2 years or more experience conducting audits of maintenance and manufacturing. Completion of industry-recognized auditor or lead auditor training in ISO9001/AS9110 and or AS9100 is preferable.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001/AS9110/AS9100, CARS, TAM, SMS, Maintenance and Manufacturing Regulations and Standards established by Transport Canada and the Department of National Defence.
