Job summary

Coke Canada Bottling is hiring a Quality Supervisor for its Lachine, QC facility. The role leads Laboratory and Syrup Room teams and drives quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance across packaging, filling, and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have ISO/GMP/HACCP experience, strong leadership skills, and fluent French with English as an asset. Evening shifts are included, with opportunities for professional growth and impact on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or related field.
• Experience in an ISO-certified environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety systems.
• Two years supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing setting.
• Fluency in French; English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Laboratory and Syrup Room teams (≈19 employees) including scheduling and training.
• Ensure quality of packaging, finished products, and processes to meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor production, inspect processes, adjust parameters, and troubleshoot with Production and Maintenance teams.
• Support efficiency and KPIs related to quality, yield, and downtime.
• Manage non-conforming products and supplier/customer complaints.
• Lead root-cause analyses and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement quality procedures and ensure documentation compliance.
• Conduct internal audits of quality, food safety, health and safety, and environment.
• Oversee operation of quality control equipment and water treatment systems.

About This Opportunity

In a production environment where food safety, regulatory compliance, and product consistency are critical, the Quality Supervisor plays a central role. This individual ensures process rigor, supports operational teams, and ensures that every product meets the highest quality and food safety standards. As a team leader, they actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, risk prevention, and the maintenance of the plant’s certifications.

The Quality Supervisor reports directly to the Plant Quality Manager and is responsible for all quality and food safety activities within the facility. This individual oversees the Laboratory and Syrup Room teams, ensures compliance with internal and external standards, and works closely with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering to maintain operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

*** Evening Shift – Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM ***

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the Laboratory and Syrup Room teams (approximately 19 employees), including scheduling, attendance management, staffing, training, performance evaluations, and employee development within a unionized environment.
• Ensure the quality of packaging materials, finished products, and manufacturing processes (mixing, filling, and packaging) to meet company standards, specifications, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives.
• Monitor production processes, conduct inspections, adjust process parameters as needed, and troubleshoot process-related issues in collaboration with Production and Maintenance teams.
• Support operational efficiency and key performance indicators related to quality, yield, and production downtime.
• Manage non-conforming products and supplier complaints, and support the investigation and follow-up of customer and consumer complaints.
• Participate in root cause analyses, continuous improvement projects, and the qualification of equipment, processes, and suppliers.
• Develop, update, and implement operational procedures while ensuring compliance of quality documentation.
• Conduct internal audits (quality, food safety, health and safety, and environmental) and ensure adherence to company policies, collective agreements, and applicable standards.
• Ensure the proper operation of quality control equipment, as well as the management of water treatment and wastewater systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or post‑secondary diploma, preferably in a scientific discipline.
• Strong planning, decision‑making, and organizational skills.
• Dynamic, proactive, resilient, and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Experience working in an ISO‑certified environment.
• Knowledge of and experience with FSSC 22000 standards and HACCP systems.
• Proven ability to solve problems collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of water treatment systems within the food or beverage industry.
• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a unionized manufacturing and production environment, including at least two (2) years of direct supervisory experience leading a team.
• Basic computer skills, including experience using databases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in French (required); knowledge of English is considered an asset.
