DUTIES:
Reporting to the Manager of Operations, this position will be responsible for the daily monitoring and supervision of on-street services. The Operations Supervisor will work with all departments to ensure both positive communications and on-street services are being maintained at a maximum performance level. Utilizes supervisory knowledge and expertise in the transportation field to assume the duties of Operations Supervisor and is responsible for the administration of TransitOperators. Monitors and oversees daily operations of the on-street services, to ensure the utmost reliability, safety and efficiency; Responsible for accident investigation, discipline, performance measurements and ensure compliance for Operators with Transport Canada's Federal Hours of Service Legislation. Coordinates workforce and equipment as required for special events and tunnel activity, completes daily payroll variation sheets, operate the control room, counsel and train operators, and work in a professional manner using progressive, proactive management skills that promote good labour relations. Operations Supervisors will investigate and respond to 311 Customer Service Requests in a professional manner as the representative of Transit Windsor. May be required to lift equipment and ladders. Will ensure compliance with corporate health and safety program and legislation as per the Canada Labour Code Part II. Will perform other related duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS:
