Job summary

Artemis Gold, located at the Blackwater Mine site in British Columbia, is seeking a Supervisor - Mobile Maintenance to oversee a team responsible for the maintenance of trucks, loaders and excavators, ensuring high uptime and safety.

You will plan tasks, coordinate downtime, and review equipment histories while working a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off shift at a remote site. Leadership and CMMS proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson certificate in Mechanical or Welding trade required.
• 5+ years of experience maintaining mobile equipment, preferably in mining or heavy equipment.
• 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role is an asset.
• Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of mobile equipment (trucks, loaders, excavators) to ensure uptime.
• Lead and support mobile maintenance technicians, providing direction and guidance.
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule downtime for preventative maintenance.
• Review work orders, equipment history, and costs to identify improvements.
• Perform other duties as required.

Reporting to the Superintendent - Mobile Maintenance, The Supervisor - Mobile Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment, including trucks, loaders, and excavators, to ensure optimal performance and uptime. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and availability of mobile equipment used in our mining operations.

Location: Blackwater Mine Site

Schedule: 2 Weeks On - 2 Weeks Off Rotation

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
• Supervise a team of mobile maintenance technicians, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the efficient and effective completion of maintenance activities.
• Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs for mobile equipment based on operational requirements, equipment condition, and maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with the operations team to schedule equipment downtime for preventative maintenance and repairs, minimizing disruptions to production and optimizing equipment availability.
• Review work orders, reports, and equipment history records to track maintenance activities, equipment performance, and costs to make recommendations for improvement.
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

• Journeyperson certificate in Mechanical or Welding trade required.
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance and repair of mobile equipment, preferably in the mining or heavy equipment industry.
• 5 + years previous experience and a supervisory or leadership role is an asset
• Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation
• Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team
• Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift
• Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
• Strong technical knowledge of mobile equipment systems, components, and maintenance practices.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
