Summary
The Supervisor IT Infrastructure is responsible for delivering a consistent, reliable, efficient, critical core infrastructure that is utilized throughout the board.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager – Information Technology Services, the Supervisor – IT Infrastructure will:
- Provide leadership for IT operations including network infrastructure, firewalls, telecommunications, and cloud services such as Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Teams Phone.
- Implement and enforce network security policies, manage firewalls and segmentation strategies, and oversee web content filtering to maintain a secure and resilient environment.
- Develop and execute strategies for core technologies that align with organizational goals and support long-term innovation and scalability.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, managed service providers, and ministry partners, including contract negotiations and procurement activities.
- Oversee departmental budgets to ensure efficient use of resources and alignment with IT priorities.
- Lead IT projects such as infrastructure improvements and system integrations while ensuring timely issue resolution and improved user experience through support and training.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through key performance indicators (KPIs), standardized procedures, collaboration, and a strong customer service focus.
Qualifications And Skills
The successful candidate shall possess the following qualifications, skills and abilities:
- A university degree is preferred, or a college diploma from a recognized institution in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience managing an IT department or leading technical projects.
- Fortinet and Cisco CCNA certifications or equivalent hands-on networking and security experience (required).
- Certifications in PMP, Microsoft 365, Azure Active AD, and Microsoft Server & VMWare
- Proven experience of workstation, server, virtual, network, telecommunication technology.
- Proven experience of cybersecurity and disaster recovery best practices.
