Job Summary

The Supervisor, E195-E2 Inflight Regulatory Training and Development, is responsible for supervising the development, delivery, and evaluation of cabin crew regulatory training programs. Reporting to the Manager of Regulatory Training and Standards, this role ensures that all training activities are compliant with Transport Canada regulations and aligned with company objectives. The Supervisor will assist in supporting a team of Cabin Crew Trainers, curriculum design, evaluates training effectiveness, and contributes to continuous improvement in training delivery and safety performance.


Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership and Management
  • Support and assist in supervising Cabin Crew Safety Trainers delivering regulatory training
  • Mentor and assess trainers, ensuring consistent and effective training deliver
  • Ensure all training programs and lesson plans are delivered accurately and consistently
  • Asses trainer's performance
  • Coordinate with the Manager of Inflight Training and Development to establish training priorities, goals, and strategies
Regulatory Training Development and Compliance
  • Stay updated on relevant aviation regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to cabin crew training
  • Interpret regulatory requirements and ensure that training programs are designed and implemented in compliance with Transport Canada Regulations
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of all Cabin Crew Regulatory Training Programs
  • Create engaging training materials, presentations, and multimedia content to support training initiatives
  • Review and update training materials regularly to reflect changes in regulations, procedures and technology
  • Oversees the maintenance of flight attendant training records
Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor key performance indicators and training metrics to assess the effectiveness of training programs
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation in training delivery methods
  • Actively participate in cross-functional teams and projects to enhance overall training and development efforts
  • Execute a broad range of training strategies and methodologies that support Adult Learning styles

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of training equipment and office supplies
  • Review and update training materials and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Coordinate the scheduling of training events, including selecting venues, arranging logistics and ensuring the necessary equipment is available
  • Support the onboarding process for new cabin crew members and ensure all necessary onboarding and training materials are delivered
  • All other duties assigned by the Manager, Regulatory Training Standard

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of cabin crew experience is required
  • Certification as a trainer or instructor is an asset
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience including at least 3 years in training program development
  • Previous experience in aviation training, preferably in a regulatory compliance role
  • Familiarity with Company Operations Manuals, training manuals, and applicable SOPs
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations, Flight Attendant Training Standards, and ISARPs
  • Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and training delivery techniques
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training-related activities
  • Strong knowledge of customer service practices
  • Excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills; keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet applications
  • Ability to secure restricted airport security clearance
  • Must maintain a valid passport (with a valid C1D Visa if required) and be able to travel when required, access to a vehicle is essential
  • Successfully complete the initial cabin crew training
  • Operate as a crew member when required
