Job Summary

The Supervisor, E195-E2 Inflight Regulatory Training and Development, is responsible for supervising the development, delivery, and evaluation of cabin crew regulatory training programs. Reporting to the Manager of Regulatory Training and Standards, this role ensures that all training activities are compliant with Transport Canada regulations and aligned with company objectives. The Supervisor will support a team of Cabin Crew Trainers, design curricula, evaluate training effectiveness, and contribute to continuous improvement in training delivery and safety performance.

Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Management
  • Support and supervise Cabin Crew Safety Trainers delivering regulatory training.
  • Mentor and assess trainers to ensure consistent and effective training delivery.
  • Ensure all training programs and lesson plans are delivered accurately and consistently.
  • Assess trainer performance.
  • Coordinate with the Manager of Inflight Training and Development to establish training priorities, goals, and strategies.
  • Regulatory Training Development and Compliance
    • Stay updated on relevant aviation regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to cabin crew training.
    • Interpret regulatory requirements and ensure training programs comply with Transport Canada Regulations.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining Cabin Crew Regulatory Training Programs.
    • Create engaging training materials, presentations, and multimedia content.
    • Review and update training materials regularly to reflect regulatory and procedural changes.
    • Oversee maintenance of flight attendant training records.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor key performance indicators and training metrics to evaluate training effectiveness.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative training methods.
    • Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance training efforts.
    • Implement diverse training strategies that support adult learning styles.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Maintain inventory of training equipment and supplies.
    • Update training materials and documents for accuracy and compliance.
    • Coordinate training schedules, venues, logistics, and equipment.
    • Support onboarding of new cabin crew with necessary training materials.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Regulatory Training Standards.

    Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of cabin crew experience.
    • Trainer or instructor certification is an asset.
    • 5-7 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in training program development.
    • Experience in aviation training, especially in regulatory compliance.
    • Knowledge of Company Operations Manuals, SOPs, and training manuals.
    • Strong understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations and Flight Attendant Training Standards.
    • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Willingness to travel for training activities.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet applications.
    • Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
    • Valid passport and ability to travel as required; access to a vehicle is essential.
    • Completion of initial cabin crew training.
    • Ability to operate as a crew member when needed.
