Job summary

The Old Port of Montréal Corporation is seeking a Visitor Services team member for the Montréal Science Centre on a 7‑month contract (Sept 27, 2026 – Apr 24, 2027). Schedule includes Saturdays and Sundays plus other days as needed; status is unionized and casual.

You will coordinate your team’s tasks and schedules, ensure a high‑quality welcome for groups and visitors, oversee cash handling and inventories, and coach staff through training and performance reviews. Basic MS Office skills required.

Qualifications

• 18 months of staff coordination experience.
• 2 years in customer service and cash management.
• 1 year in sales.
• Successful completion of the management potential assessment.

WHAT ARE THE EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS?

• Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, plus other days as needed

  • 7-MONTH CONTRACT: September 27, 2026, to April 24, 2027 (1 position)

WHAT WILL YOUR ROLE BE ON THE VISITOR SERVICES TEAM AT THE MSC?

• You’ll coordinate your team’s tasks and schedules based on daily operational needs.
• You’ll ensure a high-quality welcome for groups and visitors, while responding to online inquiries.
• You’ll oversee the management of cash registers, inventories, and technical equipment.
• You’ll support your team through coaching, task-specific training, and performance follow-ups.
• You’ll maintain clear communication with staff and your supervisor to ensure service quality and smooth operations.

WHAT PROFILE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Experience: 18 months of experience in staff coordination, 2 years in customer service and cash management, and 1 year in sales
• Requirements: Successful completion of the management potential assessment
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication, sound judgment, resourcefulness, collaboration, stress management, active listening and feedback
• Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite
