Job summary

Enbridge Inc. is seeking a Supervisor Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for the Canadian Gas Transmission & Midstream group in Calgary.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, partnering with field Operations Directors and Project Managers to deliver accurate financial results and insights. You will oversee accounting activities, support regulatory filings, and manage a team of four.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and/or FP&A experience, preferably with exposure to public practice, management performance and financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP and financial systems such as Oracle Cloud, HFM, SmartView, or Essbase, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience providing guidance, oversight, and development to accounting or finance professionals.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality work within deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly O&M budgets and forecasts, partnering with field Operations Directors and Project Managers to understand financial results, risks, and opportunities.
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process for headcount, workforce and direct labour allocations, O&M, integrity and Shared Services, business development initiatives, non-core revenue, and Central Functions.
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis, including O&M performance vs budget and prior periods, headcount and cost centre analysis, and non-core revenue reporting.
  • Lead and oversee general accounting activities, including journal entries, operating expense accruals and transfers, third-party billings and cost recoveries, accounts payable activities, and union employee time-entry reconciliations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to four direct reports responsible for day-to-day accounting and reporting activities, supporting team performance and timely financial information.
  • Partner with field operations, regulatory, commercial, finance, supply chain and other stakeholders to provide financial insights that support operational priorities and decision-making.
  • Support regulatory reporting and filings by preparing O&M, headcount, Shared Services, and other financial schedules for surveillance reporting and rate applications, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and hold a CPA designation or equivalent professional certification.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and/or FP&A experience, preferably with exposure to public practice, management performance and financial reporting, or gas transmission assets.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience providing guidance, oversight, and development to accounting or finance professionals.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and financial systems such as Oracle Cloud, HFM, SmartView, or Essbase, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to assess complex accounting and financial matters and translate information into meaningful business insights.
  • Successfully manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality work within recurring and sometimes tight deadlines.
  • Effective communicator and collaborative business partner with strong interpersonal, written, verbal, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
Working Conditions:

This position operates primarily in an office environment and involves recurring deadlines associated with monthly, quarterly, annual, and regulatory reporting cycles. Periodic overtime may be required based on business needs and reporting deadlines. Minimal travel, generally less than 5%, may be required to other corporate office locations.
