Job summary

On Side Restoration is seeking a Supervisor, Contents Warehouse in Calgary to oversee daily warehouse activities with a focus on quality, cost control, and safety. You will lead contents processing, material movement, and scheduling while ensuring compliance with company protocols and customer guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Contents Processing & Review: review contents, assign tasks by team skills, manage non-restorable items.
  • Material Handling & Movement: support forklift operation and inventory handling.
  • Logistics & Scheduling: coordinate pack-outs, move-backs, deliveries with dispatch and subtrades.
  • Data Entry & System Tracking: enter W3 data, equipment transfers, and eClaim actions.
  • Invoicing & Documentation: review invoices, generate work orders and billing docs.
  • Operational Excellence: document and implement warehouse policies for 5S.
  • Health & Safety: promote proactive safety culture and incident reduction.
  • Communication & Collaboration: liaise with internal teams, field supervisors, and vendors.

Position Summary

The Supervisor, Contents Warehouse is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities with a focus on quality, cost control, and operational consistency. This role ensures all aspects of contents processing are completed in strict accordance with company protocols, safety standards, and customer guidelines while fostering a continuous improvement and safety-first culture.

Compensation
  • Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000 /year
  • Salary based on skills, qualifications and experience

What You'll Do
  • Contents Processing & Review: Conduct content crate reviews, assess restorable contents, delegate tasks based on team skill sets, and manage non-restorable item storage and disposition.
  • Material Handling & Movement: Assist with physical content movement throughout the warehouse, including safe forklift operation and inventory handling.
  • Logistics & Scheduling: Coordinate pack-outs, move-backs, and deliveries with dispatch and subtrades; schedule subtrades as required to achieve project milestones.
  • Data Entry & System Tracking: Perform W3 data entry, enter equipment transfer sheets, and resolve eClaim actions in coordination with field supervision.
  • Invoicing & Documentation: Review invoices, create work orders and purchase orders, generate laundry invoicing PDFs, and complete all required billing documentation in a timely manner.
  • Operational Excellence: Recommend, document, and implement warehouse policies and procedures to drive consistency and maintain a clean 5S work environment.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain a proactive Health & Safety culture focused on accident/incident reduction and continuous improvement.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Maintain strong communication with internal teams, field supervisors, and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time
What You Bring
  • Relevant experience in contents assessment and restoration management
  • Comprehensive understanding of the restoration industry and various types of insurable losses.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and working knowledge of restoration management platforms (e.g., W3, eClaim).
  • Operational Leadership: Ability to translate strategies into action, prioritize in fast-paced/high-pressure situations, and adapt to organizational change.
  • Communication & Coordination: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of effective subtrade and vendor management.
  • Problem-Solving & Teamwork: Excellent analytical skills, ability to work independently or collaboratively, and a commitment to customer service, quality, and a safe workplace.

Of Note:
  • This role has a set schedule of Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • The restoration industry requires flexibility to respond to emergencies. While this role is not a scheduled on-call position, be aware that unforeseen disasters may necessitate after-hours work.
