Library and Archives Canada is seeking a Supervisor (EC-03) in Winnipeg, MB. The role focuses on planning, coordinating and supervising activities related to circulation, storage and records management of onsite collections.
You will delegate tasks, assess staff performance and provide training, while ensuring procedures are developed and followed. The position requires full-time on-site work in a warehouse-like environment in Winnipeg.

Duties
The Supervisor contributes to the planning, coordination and supervision of projects and ongoing activities related to the circulation, storage and records management of onsite collections, as well as the supervision of staff. They are responsible for the delegation of tasks, assessing staff performance and taking corrective measures as needed. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing procedures including delivering training sessions to staff.
Work environment
Work is situated in an office space and standard warehouse environment that can be dusty with temperature fluctuations. Please note that virtual work is not possible as the duties of the position require the employee to be present at the work site full time. The office is located in Winnipeg, MB.
Intent of the process
This process is intended to staff one (1) indeterminate EC-03 position located in Winnipeg, MB. A pool of qualified candidates may also be established and could be used to staff similar positions at Library and Archives Canada across Canada, with various linguistic requirements and/or for various durations depending on the positions to be filled.
