Detailed Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Operations, the Supervisor supports diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular radiography procedures in various labs, supervises Cardiovascular Technologists, and collaborates on quality and staffing management. The role includes developing procedures, coordinating practicum placements, and performing duties similar to Cardiovascular Technologists.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Cardiovascular Technologists, oversee procedures, training, and performance reviews.
• Manage daily activities, equipment, supplies, staffing, and workflow issues, reporting to the Manager.
• Develop and implement protocols, monitor equipment performance, and participate in departmental meetings and research.
• Coordinate data entry into the Provincial Cardiac Registry, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation.
• Perform cardiovascular procedures, prepare patients, manage equipment, and assist physicians.
• Conduct equipment quality control, participate in staff meetings, and update manuals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Training & Experience: Diploma in Cardiology Technology or equivalent, advanced certification, 5+ years recent related experience, eligible for registration with CACPT and/or CCI RCIS.

Skills & Abilities: Effective communication, leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, knowledge of practice standards, PACs systems, equipment, procedures, and software, physical ability to perform duties.
