Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa, ON, is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to lead hospital dining operations, ensuring safe, nutritious meals and compliant service. You will oversee day-to-day activities, coordinate with nutrition, catering and facilities teams, and mentor staff to deliver high-quality food service in a fast-paced environment.

Required diploma in Food Service Supervision or Food Nutrition Management, CSNM membership, and at least three years of supervisory experience in a hospital

Basic Requirements

• Diploma in Food Service Supervision or Food Nutrition Management;
• Member in Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM);
• Must have a good understanding of operating procedures of institutional (hospital) food service equipment;
• Three years experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a unionized environment;
• Knowledge of food service administration to plan, organize, control and evaluate activities;
• Knowledge of revenue generating, profitability and inventory control procedures;
• Good marketing skills;
• Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational and leadership skills.
