Rio Tinto à Labrador City recrute un Superintendent Mine Control pour diriger l’équipe et assurer l’excellence opérationnelle dans le dispatch, la surveillance des actifs et les systèmes de communication.

Vous piloterez le leadership d’équipe, optimiserez les performances de la flotte grâce à la surveillance en temps réel et à l’analyse, et garantirez le reporting et les KPI pour atteindre les objectifs opérationnels.

Qualifications

• Baccalauréat requis ou équivalent dans le domaine minier/IT.

Responsibilities

• Diriger et développer l’équipe Mine Control pour assurer des opérations minières sûres et efficaces.
• Optimiser les performances de la flotte via surveillance en temps réel, systèmes de dispatch et analyses opérationnelles.
• Superviser le reporting de production, le suivi des performances et l’atteinte des objectifs opérationnels.
• Établir et suivre des KPI pour améliorer la productivité, l’utilisation des équipements et l’efficacité.
• Conduire des initiatives d’amélioration continue par l’analyse des données opérationnelles.
• Assurer le leadership des programmes de santé et de surveillance des actifs pour améliorer la fiabilité.
• Garantir le fonctionnement fiable des systèmes de communication minière (radio, réseaux).
• Planifier les maintenances, mises à niveau et améliorations des technologies minières et des systèmes de communication.

About The Role

We are looking for a Superintendent Mine Control to lead our Mine Control team and drive operational excellence across mine dispatch, asset health monitoring, and communications systems. This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical oversight of Mine Control operations, ensuring the effective utilization of technology, data, and communications to support safe, productive, and reliable mining operations.

This is a great opportunity for a driven and engaging leader to oversee Mine Control and maximize equipment performance and operational efficiency.

Reporting to the Manager Mine Operations and working in an exciting and unique environment within the Iron Ore Company of Canada, you will

• Lead and develop the Mine Control team to support safe and efficient mining operations
• Optimize fleet performance through real-time monitoring, dispatch systems, and operational analysis
• Oversee production reporting, performance tracking, and achievement of operational targets
• Establish and manage KPIs to improve productivity, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using operational data and analytics
• Provide leadership for asset health and condition monitoring programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
• Ensure the reliable operation of mine communication systems, including radio, wireless, and network infrastructure
• Coordinate maintenance, upgrades, and strategic improvements to critical mine technology and communications systems

Fly-in-fly-out arrangements are not available. Relocation assistance is provided, if applicable.

About You

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in mining operations, mine dispatch, fleet management, or mine technology environments
• Proven leadership experience leading multidisciplinary operational and technical teams in a mining or heavy industrial environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to leverage operational data to improve performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience with mine dispatch systems, asset health and condition monitoring programs, or industrial communications and network systems is considered an asset
