Description

You are a seasoned Superintendent with over 8 years of field operations experience working in multi-disciplinary large-scale commercial projects. You will ensure adherence to company standards for safety, scheduling, budget, quality control, and client satisfaction. You will leverage your industry expertise to achieve project goals while contributing to the organization’s long-term success.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Oversee staff to ensure the successful delivery of a complex commercial construction project from start to finish.
  2. Ensure field staff are equipped with resources to complete projects according to plans, specifications, and building codes, while strictly following safety regulations.
  3. Participate in pre-bid and preconstruction activities related to site layout, logistics, scheduling, and workforce planning.
  4. Collaborate with safety personnel to ensure compliance with Ledcor’s safety programs and policies.
  5. Ensure projects follow Ledcor’s Construction Operations Manual and lead the development of the Project Quality Program (PQP), ensuring PEP conformance.
  6. Review and maintain project schedules, meet milestones, identify issues, and lead solutions.
  7. Promote site safety, including subcontractor compliance with safety standards, the Project Specific Safety Plan (PSSP), and applicable OH&S acts and regulations.
  8. Oversee care and maintenance of equipment on-site, maximizing use and returning equipment when no longer needed.
  9. Participate in hiring and managing hourly employees, and manage timecards for job costing.
  10. Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to meet needs and foster future opportunities.
  11. Support Ledcor’s core values of safety, quality, integrity, sustainability, and success.
Qualifications
  1. Over 8 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar, managing full-cycle light industrial or commercial projects.
  2. Expertise in mechanical, electrical, or automation systems is preferred.
  3. Relevant work experience combined with industry-related trade certification or education.
  4. Strong knowledge of safety standards, OH&S, and environmental regulations.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, capable of working with senior management.
  6. Deep technical knowledge of modern construction practices, documentation, schedules, technologies, equipment, and contract negotiations.
  7. Proven ability to coach and develop team members through constructive feedback and growth opportunities.
  8. Ability to anticipate problems and lead innovative solutions to meet organizational goals.
Working Conditions
  1. Site-based position in Caledon, Ontario.
  2. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving abstract.
