Job summary

LTL Group Ltd. in Northwestern Ontario is seeking a Site Superintendent to oversee day-to-day project operations and field staff.

You will plan and schedule work with operations to meet client needs and ensure work complies with plans, standards and specifications. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in heavy civil construction with supervisory experience and strong communication, time management, scheduling and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years progressive experience in the heavy civil construction industry.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team.
• Must have strong communication, time management, scheduling and negotiation skills.
• Able to multi task and sustain productivity over long hours in a fast paced environment.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
• Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
• Candidates must be open to working as per project requirements (weekends etc) and out of town when required

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot field issues on-site to maintain workflow and meet deliverables
• Ensure sufficient data obtained and documented through life of the contract to substantiate contractor's progress and final payment certificates
• Obtain and maintain up to date and accurate utility locates
• Prepare job sheets for field staff
• Other duties as assigned by your senior manager
