Job summary

EllisDon Corporation in Edmonton is seeking a Superintendent to provide overall construction management, including design, budget and schedule, in conjunction with the Project Manager, Owners, Engineers and Architects to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget on large complex projects.

You will lead project meetings, mentor team members, and communicate potential issues to senior management while maintaining cost reports and cash flow alignment.

Qualifications

• A construction-related degree and 6–8 years of construction experience on large projects.
• Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineering drawings.
• Ability to identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, produce workable solutions and lead a large team to successful completion.
• Ability to manage trade relationships and ensure schedule is on track for project success.

Qualifications

• You have a construction related degree and 6 to 8 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience working on large projects (Design Build, P3, Residential, Commercial, Institutional or Healthcare).
• You have an advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineering drawings.
• You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, produce workable solutions and lead a large team to successful completion.
• You have the ability to manage trade relationships and ensure schedule is on track for project success.
