Job summary

Chandos is seeking a Superintendent in Calgary, Alberta to lead project activities and ensure successful delivery within budget. With over 10 years in commercial construction, you will provide direction, monitor equipment, and uphold responsibilities to site personnel.

Qualifications

• Journeyman trade certification or equivalent experience.
• Technical diploma and/or Gold Seal certification are considered assets.
• Ten or more years experience in commercial construction for a large general contractor.
• Ten or more years experience as a superintendent for a large general contractor.
• CSTS20 certification.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor project budget and forecasting.
• Provide leadership and direction for all project activities.
• Ensure clear communication of project-specific roles and responsibilities.
• Monitor company equipment and supplies.
• Inspect tools and equipment and arrange service as needed.

• Continuously monitor project budget and forecasting to the individual phase code level and cost type for potential gains and losses
• Provide leadership and direction for all project activities and tasks, ensuring project outcomes are delivered successfully and in compliance with all contracts and client needs
• Ensure clear communication of project-specific roles and responsibilities for all site personnel. Provide regular and respectful feedback for all under your direction
• Monitor company equipment and supplies to ensure the needed equipment is where it’s required.
• Inspect tools and equipment and notify the Tools and Equipment Manager for service and repair as needed

• Technical diploma and/or Gold Seal certification are considered assets
• Ten or more years experience in commercial construction for a large general contractor
• Ten or more years experience as a superintendent for a large general contractor
