Job summary

Germain Hotels group is seeking a Server for an on-site role in Ottawa. You will greet guests, take orders and serve food and beverages, while maintaining a clean, safe service area and supporting bar and catering operations.

We value sociable, team-oriented individuals who communicate well and manage stress effectively. The shift runs 06:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a compensation rate of $17.95 CAD per hour and on-site benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, an asset.
• Experience in restaurant service, an asset.
• Good physical condition: stand for hours, lift up to 50 lb.
• Excellent stress and pressure management skills.
• Sociable and a team player.
• Natural ability to communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Be on the lookout for guests' needs and offer a unique experience by knowing the menu.
• Help set up, open and close the bar and catering area.
• Take orders and serve all food and beverages.
• Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge guests during service.
• Ensure the working environment and equipment are clean, disinfected and organized.
• Comply with current laws and regulations regarding alcohol.
